My Writing Journey
The Full Story
When I was 13, I wrote my first novel. It was absolutely awful, but I loved it. I was so proud that I managed to finish it. I didn't care that my character arcs were flat, my plot was basic, and my characters had minimal substance to them. I didn't let the quality of my writing at such a young age define who I would be as a writer. I let it motivate me to write more. I read more difficult stories from authors who are far better than I am. I researched what to do to make a story good. I discovered how to make my characters go into a problem at their minimum potential and come out the other side as people who have evolved. My goal is to encourage other writers and to have them do the same for me as well. Writing is about community and friendship. It is a passion. It is important.
